Cherese Claasen

I am a highly organized and dependable individual with a strong passion for working with children. Over the past five years, I have gained valuable experience working with kids, which has strengthened my patience, communication skills, and ability to create a positive and supportive environment. I am a fast learner who enjoys growing and developing new skills, and I always pay close attention to detail in everything I do.

I work well both independently and as part of a team, and I pride myself on having excellent time management and a strong work ethic. I have sober habits, maintain a professional attitude, and have completed my First Aid Level 1 training. I am eager to take on new opportunities where I can contribute positively, continue learning, and make a meaningful difference.

I have experience working in both customer service and childcare environments, where I developed strong communication, organisational, and people skills. I worked as an assistant at Jet-Air Air Conditioner in Port Elizabeth, helping walk-in customers, handling filing, organising documents, and assisting with payments. I also worked as a babysitter, where I cared for children, helped with homework and learning activities, and ensured they were safe and entertained.

Since 2021, I have been working as an Aftercare Supervisor at Laerskool Nelspruit, where I supervise learners, assist with activities, communicate with teachers and parents, and manage administrative tasks related to the aftercare programme.

I completed my matric at High School Barberton, where I achieved strong results in subjects such as Computer Application Technology, Hospitality, English, and Business Studies. After school, I furthered my studies at Healing Hands Academy in Mossel Bay, where I studied subjects including Aromatherapy, Counselling, Nutrition, and Business Studies. I also completed First Aid Level 1 training through Kishugu Training Academy in Nelspruit.
