I have more or less that 20 years HR experience. I do not have a matric nor qualifications or degree in the HR field. All skills I acquired on the job, reading and in-house training.
I'm passionate about people and building a relationship of trust, very important in the role of HR. I enjoy investigations, reading case law, educating myself on labour issues and apply these learnings in my daily tasks.
In my last position I represented the company at CCMA, for all conciliation and arbitration disputes. I was also responsible for preparing evidence bundles for arbitration matters. Being exposed to CCMA, it allowed myself to mitigate risk to business, to ensure fairness to both employer and employee.
I was in position of Senior People Advisor (HR) at Webhelp SA outsourcing PTY Ltd. I was employed at the company for 6 years.
My professional experience I acquired over the years in HR is disciplinary enquiries, chairing of disciplinary enquiries, delivering training to new chairperson's. Sound knowledge of the LRA, Bcea, performance management, managing absence. Dealing with commissioners at CCMA.
Most of my education/learnings were on the job and in-house training with a Labour Consultant.
