The past 6 years in the Western Cape has been an absolute blessing, working in the field I know and respect, reaching targets and growing as an individual has been a wonderful new adventure.
Although I have not been in a position of farming with berries/stone fruit/vineyards myself, most of my clientele at the moment farm with these crops, so I am up to speed with what equipment they use as well as diseases, land preparation, testing, handling, packaging, storing and transportation of the products. I have experience with irrigation, fertilization, spraying (Working with chemicals AFCASA) and managing staff- health and safety, wages and clock system management.
Being organized and on time is something I am passionate about and I enjoy a work environment that is structured. I can handle stressful situations, give presentations and training. I’m a problem solver and my biggest goal for each task I approach is to do it diligently and hand off products with pride.
I am not afraid of hard work or getting my hands dirty. Being up to date with new technology is very important, so I am always willing to learn and do courses to improve my skills. I am a fast learner; team player and I am not afraid to take control and make important decisions.
