I believe that School Counseling is an integral part of any school community and one that is necessary for the health and success of all students. The role of a School Counselor revolves around the importance of being an advocate and ally for all students, while also working to respect and meet the needs of the entire school community. I believe that a School Counselor should strive to benefit all stakeholders in a school community and that a School Counselor has the responsibility and the ability to do so.
Through constant outreach and collaboration, School Counselors have the power to fundamentally impact any school community for the better, and the responsibility to do so.
