Working as a Chef (trainee) has been one of the most amazing experience in my life. The food that you put out i believe needs to connect with the guests and/or customers. It teaches you discipline and time. Being in the kitchen is fascinating, it gives you drive and your creation just takes over you. even simple dish like a salad,what is important is how it looks because guests eat with their eyes first before they actually taste.
I studied hospitality which is a broad course. it does not only specialises with cooking but front of house as well as back of house. we get to learn and do practicals about being a waitress/waiter, chefs/cooks, receptionist, housekeeping, porters etc. what is important is Client services because making sure that our guest are well satisfied and appy is the ey to a successful company.
