With more than 35 years of international experience in technical, fleet and plant management across South Africa and various African countries, I offer extensive practical experience in managing heavy equipment, workshops, maintenance operations, technical teams and large-scale construction and mining-related operations.
My career began with a qualification as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer and a qualified diesel mechanic, providing me with a strong technical foundation in mechanical systems, maintenance planning, fault finding, safety, quality control and regulatory compliance. I subsequently developed extensive management experience within the heavy construction and plant environment, including senior responsibilities with major organisations such as Murray & Roberts, Gailey & Roberts (Caterpillar dealer), WBHO and Amandi in Ghana.
I believe my combination of hands-on technical knowledge, senior fleet and plant management experience, workshop management capability and extensive African operational exposure would allow me to make a meaningful contribution to your organisation. I am particularly attracted to this opportunity because it combines technical leadership with responsibility for a substantial equipment fleet and multiple workshop operations.
