I embarked on my professional journey as a mechanical draughtsman with a distinguished military antenna company listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE). Over the course of five years, I honed my expertise in Solidworks while contributing to the company's projects.
As time progressed, I sought new challenges to further my career, which led me to the complex world of Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE). Starting as a junior verification analyst with minimal prior knowledge of BBBEE, I dedicated myself to mastering the intricacies of this crucial field. Within my first year at MSCT, I advanced to the role of Verification Analyst, and after another year, I assumed the responsibilities of a Senior Verification Analyst and Project Manager.
In this role, I successfully managed a team comprising four Junior Analysts and two Analysts, overseeing a range of verification activities.
This journey continued for approximately two years, during which I received the honor of being selected by the company's directors to serve as a Technical Signatory. In this capacity, I took on the pivotal role of approving and signing off on certificates generated by the majority of our analysts. This role not only exemplified my competence in the field but also underscored my commitment to ensuring compliance and excellence within the realm of BBBEE certification.
