Stacey McLean

I am a young, determined individual currently transitioning from corporate recruitment into education which is driven by a deep desire for fostering the growth and development of the next generation. I am currently working as a Talent Consultant at Investec via AES Global where I have gained valuable experience recruiting across front-office finance and IT roles. I work closely with internal and external stakeholders to gauge and fulfil recruitment needs around the bank.

In my PGCE studies, I am specialising in English and History where my main goal is to use my experience as well as the knowledge gained in my studies to support and further the knowledge and skills of students. My interpersonal skills are viewed as a great strength by many, and I aim to use this ability to create a supportive and encouraging environment for students.

• Meet with hiring managers across finance and IT to gauge recruitment needs and feedback on progress of ongoing recruitment
• Liaise with agencies to coordinate recruitment needs and candidates received
• Provide market insight to hiring managers into common trends which impact recruitment
• Screen applications and source for required talent
• Conduct interviews with candidates and provide feedback to hiring managers

Financial Recruitment Consultant at Mass Staffing Projects (2022-01 – 2022-03)

At Mass Staffing Projects, I was responsible for recruiting top talent in South Africa and relocating them to the United Kingdom. Here, I was responsible for finding clients within the UK who were looking to recruit South African Talent.

• Source top talent on portals such as Pnet, Career Junction, Linkedin Recruiter, and Careers 24. Acquire new clients and hold client meetings
• Listen to the needs of clients and accurately match talent to their job specifications. Screen Candidates and prepare them for any interviews that took place
• Conduct background checks/references of all successfully placed Candidates
• Successfully placed two candidates, in three months, who relocated to the United Kingdom
• Reasons for leaving: I was headhunted by AES Global
