I am an advertising professional & digital marketing entrepreneur.
I am fortunate to have been in the forefront of pioneering the influencer, digital entrepreneurship in South Africa, with a background in blogging, YouTube content creation and running a youth led advertising and influencer agencies.
I'm proficient in developing strategies, both campaign and influencer strategies, crafting content and copywriting. I also manage big groups of various influencers pools, from large Twitter focused nano influencer groups to the biggest micro and macro influencer talents.
My strength lies in contemporary understanding the culture where creators draw a lot of inspiration in music, film, fashion and youth oriented communities.
I started my blogging business in Soweto in 2011 at Soweto Magazine as a founding partner and writer.That inspired the development of Book of Swag, a youth culture blog and creative agency that was quickly incubated at Ireland-Davenport in Illovo, Johannesburg, in 2014. This is where we were introduced to clients such Vodacom, South African Tourism, Isuzu to mention a few.
We learned to pitch on a number of other businesses which we subsequently won and serviced as a supplier from within the business.
2016 we pitched on Standard Bank and worked on their first ever influencer campaign alongside the then VML now VMLY&R. We also were awarded the business for our groundbreaking #WhatsYourNext
I lead the youth portfolio that brought to life a number of exciting campaigns and executions for the bank.
2019 I went on my own and started an influencer agent called Trending Topix Agency (PTY) Ltd. I have since been working on rebranding the Momentum social media trajectory, I have been responsible for the creative output of Momentum since 2019 to date. I am now running another creative agency called The Social Shop Agency, which is Momentum's influencer agency.
As an SMME entrepreneur, I'm keen to get back to an environment where I don't have to all the business admin myself and I focus on what I'm good which delivering exciting & engaging work. Some of the clients I have since worked are:
