Alisha Becharbhai

My background is in Kinesiology but I have grown passionate in working with individuals with special needs through my experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities in a camp setting and children as an educational assistant.

I have worked as an educational assistant for over three years where I have assisted with the implementation of learning materials to kids with autism and other intellectual disabilities as well as assisting students with personal hygiene, community and life skills. I have also worked in a fitness and gym setting with the University of Toronto where I ensured a safe and fun environment for members to develop fundamental movement skills in various sports.

I have a diploma in behavioral science where I learnt key principles and applications of applied behaviour analysis with emphasis on children with autism.

I also have a Bachelor's of Kinesiology where I acquired key theoretical knowledge related to movement skills, injury prevention, client interactions and training principles required for implementing and tracking movement based activities.
