I have been working as the Operations Manager at Your Story Coffee, and More Than A Print Shop in Surrey, BC since 2019. These are separate businesses, owned and operated by the same team. Over the past six years, I have been responsible for the day to day operations across both of our companies, giving me the opportunity to learn and grow in my adaptability, time management and organizational skills. It was been my responsibility to develop pricing systems, booking policies and procedures, staff training, and event execution. As service based businesses, a great deal of my time and energy goes towards customer service and ensuring that myself and the rest of our staff are providing the best experience we can to our clients. This isn't always easy, but learning to communicate effectively to align clients desires and expectations with our offerings to create a seamlessly executed event is an invaluable skill that I have gained through my time here. I have also pushed myself to gain new skills in social media, website design and management, as well as marketing in order to help our businesses grow and develop.
