Broadly trained geographer with a knack for geospatial applications in the cryosphere and beyond. Experienced in working in multi-disciplinary teams to find innovative ways to analyze and visualize spatial data for community focused dissemination. Demonstrated spatial analysis and visualization abilities through scholarly publications and public engagement.
I have experience working with multiple companies providing geospatial support. I have worked with the Manitoba Agricultural Service Corporation (MASC) to convert their desktop-based geospatial database into a fully web-compatible platform. I also have delivered cutting edge spatial analysis products working with Bengal Institute to help inform their design projects. I also currently work as a Climate Data Analyst for Friends of Sebago Lake where I regularly work with complex datasets to bring out meaningful insights.
I'm nearing the end of my masters degree in Environment and Geography from the University of Manitoba. As part of my program, I have been working with remote sensing of sea ice focusing on the use of satellite altimetry. My aim is to improve snow depth retrievals using a combination of laser (ICESat-2) and radar (Cryosat-2) altimeters. I have been applying advanced remote sensing processing techniques and developing work flows to estimate snow depth on sea ice in the Canadian Arctic Archipelago.
