Guardian has truly taught me so many things I wouldn’t expect to see in smaller practice. Everyday is different with new challenges and cases presented. I have worked more with Pet insurance and gained knowledge with assisting in Chemotherapy treatments. This job has taught me a lot in general on how to deal with extremely sick animals and assisting in procedures and GA’s. I am proficient in client communication and in hospital duties such as prescriptions filling, follow-ups and assisting in complex procedures. After some time within Guardian, I was assigned the position of Team Lead & Manager with our entire hospital TA’s. I was responsible for ensuring tasks were done appropriately, training, scheduling, payroll and resolving issues.
I have worked at 3 different vet clinics over the 5 years in the industry. Each time always working to the top and taking on extra responsibility. I have worked in small animal practices, emergency, internal medicine and specialty surgery. I have worked as a manager and as a preferred Technician Assistant. I have learnt so much in the different area's of medicine. I worked in ophthalmology for a short period of time as well. I worked a lot with treatment plans and assisting clients with their insurance and was able to learn a lot about it. I am dedicated to the industry
I completed my Veterinary medical assistant certificate in 2020
I started my animal health technologist diploma in 2022 and will be complete in 2024.
