I am currently employed as a Passport Officer for Service Canada where I process applications for Canadians each day. Service Canada - Kelowna, BC
Since starting with Passport Canada, I have drastically developed some new skills, notably constant and efficient problem solving and intense attention to detail.
Additionally, I have fine-tuned some previous skills, like working in a fast-paced, high pressure environment, dealing with frustrated clients and assuring all service standards are met (5 files per hour, staying in service standard delivery times), all while maintaining Canada’s internationally recognized security
Recently I have earned a role as a peer mentor and trainer for new passport officers who are going through their intensive passport officer training, which has taught me patience and has been extremely rewarding.
While working at multiple locations (Port Coquitlam, Coquitlam, Station Square, Port Alberni), I always assured new guests had a memorable experience and equally tended to many regular customers, building long lasting relationships.
Along with all regular serving duties, I took pride in upselling foods and beverages as much as possible.
Also, I worked as a bartender on busier nights, where I prepared drinks in a timely manor, recommended drink pairings, always assured I was knowledgeable on house alcohol/drinks and specials and made sure that guests were only being served responsibly.
Finally, I was part of a team who opened Boston Pizza Port Coquitlam which required a lot of training, set up and effort from all people involved, which lead to a successful opening, and restaurant as a whole
I have recent graduated with a Bachelor’s of Art in Political Science and French from the University of Simon Fraser. (graduated May 2021)
