Randy Fortner

I’m a passionate educator and results-driven team leader with over 15 years of experience in both the classroom and the business world. My background includes teaching Grades 1–8, developing curriculum, coaching educators, and delivering one-on-one literacy support for students with diverse learning needs. I’ve also successfully led sales and service teams, managed daily operations, and driven consistent growth in client-focused environments.

Whether I’m mentoring a student or supporting a staff team, I bring a calm, clear, and collaborative approach to every challenge. I’m currently working toward my Ontario teaching certification and am open to opportunities in education, tutoring, centre management, and client-focused leadership.

I bring over 15 years of experience leading in both education and business. As a certified teacher with Buffalo Public Schools, I taught Grades 2 and 4, supported school-wide literacy initiatives, served as a math coach, and co-authored a district improvement plan. I also delivered online tutoring with Hoot Reading, helping students build foundational reading skills through one-on-one instruction.

In the business sector, I served as Sales Team Manager at Toronto Doors and Windows, where I led a team of five and increased annual revenue by 15% through consultative selling and client-focused service. As Retail Store Manager at Jacuzzi Ontario, I achieved year-over-year growth and was recognized with the Director’s Award. In both roles, I oversaw hiring, training, scheduling, and team development in fast-paced, customer-focused environments.

I specialize in bringing structure, empathy, and leadership to teams and learning environments. Whether supporting student success or coaching staff to achieve business goals, I lead with clarity, consistency, and care.
