As a qualified professional in Materials Science and Metallurgy, I have a strong background in both industrial and academic settings. I am actively seeking opportunities to contribute my expertise and further develop my skills in Canada. My knowledge includes mineral processing, research and development, and project management, making me well-suited for an R&D Metallurgist position.
I am currently residing in Montreal, Canada, and possess an open work permit. Furthermore, I am willing to relocate to a nearby location as needed.
With a diverse background in Materials Science and Metallurgy, I have accumulated valuable work experience in various roles throughout my career. Currently, I am serving as the principal investigator at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, working on a project funded by the Chilean National Agency for Research and Development (ANID). My focus is on the development of a novel photocatalyst for wastewater treatment and simultaneous clean hydrogen generation, using inorganic and organic materials to discover innovative, earth-abundant, low-cost, and non-toxic catalysts.
As a Metallurgical Engineer and Metallurgical Technician at AXE Technic Industrial & Engineering group, I analyzed and optimized processes for material production and fabrication, including casting metallurgy. I collaborated with interdisciplinary teams to improve the quality and efficiency of metallurgical operations while assisting in the development and implementation of quality control measures. Additionally, I conducted mechanical testing, defects analysis, and provided recommendations to minimize defects and improve material performance.
