Manager of the Development Department following the disbandment of Surrey City Development Cooperation (SCDC). The sector strategizes and develops over $200 million of Municipal land, generating maximum economic and social benefit for the community.

Managed a variety of publicly funded developments totalling over C$ 250 million. Developing single-family housing, lower-rise multistory and workforce housing via traditional and modular construction methods. Facilitating housing development across the Housing Continuum, including affordable rentals, supportive housing, group homes, and shelters within BC based on knowledge of the various provincial funding opportunities (CHF, SHF, RRH, IHF and CPI).

• Project cost management – Creating financial proformas to show capital and operational budgets, including mortgage debt servicing over the amortization period. 

• Scope Management - Managing needs vs budget. 

• Collaborating with various municipalities, negotiating financial waivers, zoning by-laws & other variances.

• Identify stakeholders and strategically manage stakeholder engagement via meetings, reports, news releases and open houses.

• Generate reports for communication to executive boards, ministry, various municipalities, and local neighbourhood

• Hire consultants and contractors via various procurement methods (mostly CCDC 14 and 5b). Ensuring quality during construction via regular site visits, continuous reporting, and review and sign-off on all construction claims and change orders as required

• Encourage a knowledge-sharing community and improve future designs and efficiencies by providing continuous feedback to staff on the success and challenges of projects
