As a seasoned Learning and Development professional with over a decade of experience, I bring a unique blend of technical expertise and innovative instructional design skills. Transitioning from an IT background, I have successfully delivered large-scale training programmes for global organisations like Specsavers and Sainsbury's, utilising advanced methodologies such as Action Mapping and 5Di to create targeted, high-impact learning solutions.
As the Founder and Creative Director of BBVisual Ltd, I specialise in developing engaging, user-centric learning experiences across multiple platforms. My expert-level proficiency in tools like Articulate Storyline, Adobe Creative Suite, and various LMS platforms, combined with my strong project management and consultancy skills, enables me to deliver comprehensive learning solutions that drive performance and organisational effectiveness.
Throughout my career, I've held progressively senior roles across notable organisations. Currently, as the Creative Director of BB Visual Ltd since 2021, I specialise in end-to-end learning design for prominent UK brands, developing innovative solutions that transform complex training challenges.
Prior to founding my own company, I held significant roles at Sainsbury's Bank as a Learning Solutions Developer and at Specsavers in multiple positions, including Digital Learning Designer and Learning and Development Manager. In these roles, I consistently demonstrated expertise in designing comprehensive learning solutions, developing digital training content, integrating learning management systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to create impactful training programmes across various platforms and technologies.
I completed my academic studies at Lincoln University, obtaining an HNC in Computer Science between 2009 and 2011. Prior to that I completed a BTEC IT Practitioners at New College Nottingham from 2006-2009.
My IT career began at Specsavers as a Service Desk Analyst, providing first-line remote and desktop support. I subsequently moved to Avery Dennison as an IT Support Technician, delivering second and third-line support for a design studio with both Windows and Mac environments. Returning to Specsavers, I advanced to an Incident Management Analyst role, working at second and third-line support levels.
This experience ultimately paved the way for my transition into IT Systems Training, bridging my technical expertise with learning and development, and setting the foundation for my decade-long career in L&D.
