Hi my name is Emily Darby,

I am 19 years old and I am a friendly and outgoing person who really enjoys working with people and building positive connections. I’m naturally chatty and confident, which helps me communicate clearly and effectively with others. I work well both independently and as part of a team, always staying focused and adaptable to whatever the situation requires.

I thrive in fast-paced environments, staying organized and calm under pressure while maintaining great communication and teamwork to get the job done efficiently.

Over four years of experience in customer-facing roles across animal care, hospitality, and veterinary environments. Skilled in delivering engaging educational sessions, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of safety and welfare. Experienced in animal handling, teamwork, and adapting communication to suit a wide range of audiences, including children and individuals with disabilities.

In past jobs I have demonstrated strong organisational skills, professionalism, and the ability to work calmly and effectively in fast-paced settings.

I have recently finished college where I studied animal management due to having a love of animals. I finished with a level 3 extended diploma in animal management with results DMM. Here I studied different subjects in including animal welfare and husbandry, animal biology and veterinary nursing.

Alongside this course I had to complete an animal placement one day a week where I would gain hands on experience working with animals but I also developed great interpersonal skills as I was working with the public and working with a team of others to get certain tasks done.
