Ewan Riddle

I am applying for the role of Chef / Assistant Chef and submit my cv for consideration. I have recently completed level 1 in Catering and Hospitality at Derwentside College where I have developed an understanding of cooking techniques, food hygiene and safety, front of house services and other skills such as communication, punctuality, and teamwork. I have applied these skills when operating in the college bistro in both the kitchen and front of house.

I have also transferred these skills into the working sector as a casual chef for the Newcastle Red Bulls event team working at Newcastle rugby matches and at horse racing events at Hexham racecourse. This has given me a valuable start to my career working in a busy kitchen supporting senior chefs, working under pressure to deliver a high standard of well-presented dishes. I have thoroughly enjoyed the knowledge and experiences I have gained working in the kitchen and feel confident and excited to seek full-time employment in a professional kitchen and continue my culinary journey.
