I currently work as the school coordinator for Engage Youth Mentoring, I look after 4 secondary and 7 primary schools in Lichfield. Part of my job is to coordinate with the schools’ placements of our volunteers, as well as liaise with the schools. I am responsible for coordinating the volunteers, training, and for their well-being.
I have developed and delivered talks/workshops for primary school students on subjects such as (bullying, anger, anxiety, and transition from primary to secondary school). I have also been mentoring for Engage for the past 5 years, I mentor in secondary schools. The students I see and have seen every week have had many different issues from bullying, self -self-esteem to anxiety and exam pressures.
I have safeguarding level 1 and 2 training, Mental Health First Aider certificate, I have an ACEs training certificate (Adverse Childhood Experience and Early Trauma). I have also been DBS Checked
