- I worked as an administrator assistant for Surrey Police. I am able to develop my interpersonal skills by communicating with my team and answering phone to ensure the tasks get completed on time.
- We used a number of different systems including I disclosure, CIS and Police national computer system. These are used to complete police and vehicle checks as well as enable to do DBS disclosure checks.
- Using the different computer systems described above I am able to input confidential and important information in timely manner. I am able to communicate effectively with service users and a colleagues when answering the phone and in person.
- I have been enabled to manage my own workload and complete to deadlines. I do this by managing the tasks and creating lists so that I ensure I complete the work efficiently and on time.
- There are a number of jobs which that I had to complete on a regular basis and to a deadline. These include but are not limited too; answering the phone, inputting data and retrieving data.
The Kingston Academy School, Kingston – Pupil Services, Office Administrator,
August 2016 – August 2018
- I started and completed an NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration from August 2016 – December 2017. This involved working full time and using this as evidence towards my NVQ as well as completing tasks which were set by assessor who I saw at least once a month. I have now fully completed and passed successfully this qualification.
- I then was able to start my new working contract which started from January 2018 and will finish end of August 2018. They are restructuring at The Kingston Academy and therefore did not renew my contract.
- The Kingston Academy is a new school so it currently has a small team so I am able to further develop my team working skills as we had to work closely and regularly with one another to ensure that all jobs got completed on time. I demonstrate working as a team effectively by communicating regularly in various ways with our service users (parents & Students) as well as with all my current colleagues to ensure that all messages were received to the correct people.
- I am able to further develop my interpersonal skills and providing good customer service to our service users by regularly interacting and communicating with pupils and parents in various ways such as face to face and via email. I was also able to help deal with any problems that have occurred during my time at The Kingston Academy. Ensuring that these are dealt with in a professional and timely manner.
- While I was working, we changed our main school computer system from ISAMS to SIMS which did prove challenging. However, I was able to help with transferring and inputting the data from one system to another.
- There were regular jobs that I completed regularly and on time. This included but is not limited to - checking student’s attendance, photocopying, scanning, laminating and data inputting.

- I worked as part of a team by communicating and listening effectively as well as having the willingness to learn. I was able to develop my IT skills with new systems and enhance my knowledge of Microsoft office and email, enabling me to work quickly and efficiently.
- I love to work with others in a team. I demonstrated this by providing support to teaching staff and organising open evenings for parents, which enabled me to develop my time management and organisational skills.
- My interpersonal skills and my keenness on good customer service were enhanced by learning to deal with face to face enquiries as well and parents’ telephone enquiries quickly and effectively.
- There were various jobs that I had to complete on a regular basis and on time, such as data inputting, photocopying, and scanning. These invariably had deadlines, and required me to prioritise appropriately.
