I’m currently working as a Bookseller at Waterstones' largest bookshop in the North of England. I have been a bookseller for 2.5 years, and within this role have also taken on the responsibility of running various social media platforms and the planning, promoting and running of in-store events. Prior to entering bookselling I have 10 years of retail experience, and have completed a degree in English Literature and a Masters degree in Literature and Culture.
I began working in retail at the age of 16 around my studies. Since then I have worked in some extremely demanding and fast-paced retail environments including Primark and Aldi. While studying for my undergraduate degree I worked for an outdoor activity company as a High Ropes Instructor.
I have an undergraduate degree in English Literature and a Masters degree in Literature and Culture. My Masters dissertation topic was around the representation of genderqueer and non-binary characters in children’s literature.
