About

Currently employed at Costa Coffee. I quickly progressed through job positions and took on more important roles to become a Barista Maestro; specifically shift leading, opening and closing the shop. I excel in creative environments and I am to study Fashion Art Direction at Manchester Metropolitan University where I have received an unconditional offer.

I am comfortable working in both big and small teams highlighted by my involvement in various different sports teams, particularly cricket where I have performed at a regional level.

Experience

Barista Maestro - Costa Coffee - Staffordshire

(2023-09)

Since starting at one of the busiest Costa Coffees in Staffordshire, I've quickly become accustomed to a high pace work environment. During my time at Costa, I have taken on greater responsibilities and built on existing skills. This has enabled me to progress to the role of Barista Maestro.

Part of my role is to be a shift leader. I pride myself on my customer service skills and ensure that every customer throughout the day has a positive experience of me and the shop as a whole. In particular I feel I can quickly adapt to people's individual needs and special requests.

This means that I have a good relationship with many of the regular customers and I often receive positive comments on our review system pointing out the effort I put into my job. I have thrived in this role and continue to take on further responsibility. I hold myself accountable for the hygiene and cleanliness of the store, ensuring that we pass our bi-yearly hygiene checks.

We have not failed one of these since I started working here.

  • Running the open and closes of the shop
  • Keeping track of stock and placing new orders
  • Navigating a team through the day and taking care of allergens
  • Cashing up
  • Strong communication
  • Effective team work
  • Quick working to a high standard

Farm Shop Bakery Assistant / Barista / Tea Room Assistant - Jackson's Nurseries and Tea Room

(2021-08 - 2023-08)

I commenced employment as a Tea Room Assistant, serving food and beverages, waiting tables and pot washing. I developed a wealth of skills ranging from food preparation, cash handling and till work. I thrived in the role of barista, preparing a wide variety of drinks and refreshments in time order, working well under pressure and communicating with the tea room team.

I also experienced food preparation within the bakery, supporting the bakers with the preparation and decoration of a wide variety of baked goods alongside assembling afternoon tea service.
