About

I am a determined, hardworking and reliable individual with a postgraduate qualification in TV and Media Production with hands-on experience across a range of production roles including but not limited to directing, producing, rigging, operating and editing. Through my production experience I have developed strong technical, organizational and creative skills while learning to work effectively under pressure and part of a team. I approach every challenge with a positive attitude and like to encourage an enthusiastic work environment.

My years of customer-facing experience have also strengthened my communication, professionalism, and ability to deliver a high standard of work. I am now looking to build a long-term career where I can apply my existing skills and continue learning and developing. I hold a full UK driving license, pride myself in the ability to work as part of any team and I’m excited to start a new chapter.

Experience

Customer Assistant - Vue Cinemas - Blackburn

(2023-11)

Working at Vue has helped me develop strong customer service, communication and teamwork skills. I enjoy meeting new people, helping customers and making sure they feel welcome and have an enjoyable experience. I always try to be approachable and happy to help, whether that means answering questions, offering assistance or supporting promotions and new film releases.

I also look for opportunities to upsell and contribute to daily team targets while keeping the customer experience at the heart of what I do. My role also involves handling cash and card payments, preparing food and drinks, and carrying out ID and bag checks to help keep the venue safe. I take pride in keeping the foyer, auditoriums, toilets and other public areas clean and presentable, even during busy periods.

I enjoy working as part of a team and am always willing to lend a hand when colleagues need support, helping to keep shifts running smoothly and creating a positive atmosphere for both customers and staff.

Back of House - Nando’s - Leeds, Thorpe Park/Deepdale, Preston

(2022-03 - 2023-11)

Working as a Back of House team member at Nando’s taught me the importance of teamwork, communication and staying organized during busy shifts. I worked on both the flame and flat grills, making sure food was cooked properly, orders were accurate and meals went out on time. I also helped with other kitchen duties, including operating the ovens, keeping on top of washing and cleaning, and moving between stations whenever extra help was needed.

I kept an eye on stock levels and ingredient quality to make sure everything was fresh and ready for service. I worked closely with my colleagues and kitchen managers to keep things running smoothly and was always happy to lend a hand when things got busy. I built good relationships with the team and took pride in being someone others could rely on.

Transport Debriefer - AO - Leeds

(2021-11 - 2022-01)

In my office-based logistics role, I was responsible for daily administration, including processing drivers, managing timesheets, updating vehicle records and keeping delivery paperwork accurate and up to date. I regularly communicated with drivers, colleagues and customers to help deliveries run smoothly, dealt with changing schedules and kept everyone informed of any delays or issues. I also handled customer queries and complaints in a friendly and professional manner, finding practical solutions wherever possible.

Alongside my office duties, I occasionally supported deliveries and took responsibility for overseeing the depot, coordinating staff, prioritizing tasks and managing day-to-day operations. Working in a fast-paced environment helped me develop strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills, while learning to adapt quickly, work independently and support others whenever needed.

Crew Trainer - McDonalds - Leeds, Colton Mill

(2016-12 - 2021-11)

As a Crew Trainer, I helped welcome and train new team members, making sure they felt comfortable and confident in their roles. I demonstrated tasks, explained procedures and provided helpful feedback to ensure everyone understood their responsibilities and worked to the expected standard. I also supported new starters with their training and paperwork, creating a friendly and supportive environment where they could learn and develop.

Alongside training, I supported managers with the day-to-day running of shifts, taking responsibility for areas such as the kitchen and front counter, organising breaks and handling cash when needed. I helped keep service running smoothly during busy periods, supported the team in meeting targets and made sure customers received friendly and efficient service. I took pride in being approachable and reliable, always willing to help colleagues and contribute to a positive working environment.
