I am an experienced IT consultant delivering excellent results across 7 projects in various industries including healthcare, technology, charity, higher education, courier and publishing. They have all been large projects with various methodologies (waterfall, agile, kanban).

Initially in my career, I have spent 8 years as a test professional (Test Analyst, Test Lead, Automation Testing) in the software testing field with an ISTQB certification. Data Migration Project Manager

As Data Migration Project Manager, I have helped ensure the requirements for the business are in line with the Migration team and organised the many rounds of development and testing before final data migration for the launch of the application. Apollo is the application name for the Epic (Healthcare software) implementation at the GSTT & KCH NHS Trusts. The project/application will allow everyone involved in a patient's care to have access to their records. This is the largest EPR project in Europe.

Responsibilities included

• All 125 data types have the scope for migration identified ad agreed for the source systems with all of the stakeholders (i.e., business SMEs, infrastructure analysts)
• Management of the development for data being migrated, this was complete via project plan (using Visio, Excel, daily stand ups) with testing scheduled to ensure the development is successful/correct
• Test resources (doctors/nurses/support staff) organised, test resources application access and application training for the test resources
• Test execution management including test/system support for the resources, test cycle reporting for stakeholders, raising defects to the data migration team
• The reporting included weekly and completion, ensuring all stakeholders were well informed
• Once the Epic system was implemented, part of the testing and change control team to understand/resolve issues found in Production.

Client: Manchester Foundation Trust (MFT) NHS - September 2021 – September 2022

Data Migration Test Lead

Like the GSTT/KCH NHS Trusts, MFT successfully completed the same Epic IT system implementation, resulting in all hospitals/clinics, departments and patients are on one system. As Test Lead for the data migration, all 29-source systems data were migrated successfully to the new healthcare system for the NHS’s largest Trust. Responsibilities included:

• Test preparation including test script/data creation, test resources (doctors/nurses/support staff) organised, test resources application access and application training for the test resources
• Test execution management including test/system support for the resources, test cycle reporting for stakeholders, raising defects to the data migration team
• The reporting included weekly and completion, ensuring all stakeholders were well informed
• Defect management on Epic Sherlock 
• Once the Epic system was implemented, part of the testing and change control team to understand/resolve issues found in Production.

Test Lead

Test Lead for one of the test teams in an agile programme to migrate applications/databases from the legacy servers to AWS. Testing the applications and their integrations between internal and external systems. Responsibilities included:

• System and system integration testing of the estate monitoring system, banking transactions and web services to external endpoints. Ensuring these systems/agents process/transfer data between the necessary systems
• Agile testing on two-week sprints with various applications at once, managing the test prep, execution and reporting
• Agile management using Jira and Confluence
• Run tests using UI’s and AWS Command Line Interface

Automation Tester/Performance Tester

Creating the automation test pack for functional tests on a systems merger project for 3 publishing entities. Testing the UI and the system integration. Providing a regression test package that can be run following system upgrades. Responsibilities included:

• System and system integration testing of the publishing system and SAP, transferring data between these systems
• Automation testing using Silk Test with .Net scripting
• Silk Test and Silk Central integration to schedule tests and record the results on Silk Central (test management tool)
• Defect management on Silk Central.

With the knowledge of the business and its systems architecture; I joined the performance testing phase of the systems merger project. Responsibilities included:

• Involved in the preparation phase through to the completion of the performance testing stage
• Recording/writing test scripts for front end (recording steps and making them reusable using Silk Performer) and back-end testing (manual set up and scheduling with data generation organised)
• During testing, I took ownership of the back-end performance testing and helped with running/scheduling the front-end performance tests.

Test Lead

Testing preparation, execution, and reporting on a barcode allocation system project, testing the API, UI and the system integration. Gaining a good understanding of the Agile approach to software development with testing. Responsibilities included:

• API testing ensuring communication between the new system and the customer facing UI.
• System integration testing of the internal systems transferring data between the systems
• Identifying issues in the development and architecture that were vital to the business processes 
• System testing using automation with Selenium, Protractor and JavaScript
• Management of non-functional testing including DR testing, API response timing and vulnerability scanning
• Defect management on HP ALM and JIRA.

Client: University of Manchester - Aug 2016 – Nov 2017

Test Analyst/Test Automation Engineer

Providing the university with a test service, all testing processes and documentation were implemented initially (e.g., Defect Management Process Document, Test Completion Report Template). Following the initial test service set up, automated software testing processes were used to reduce the financial risks associated with the transfer of examinations as they moved from paper-based to an online process. The automation testing tools used were Selenium/Java to create the automation scripts and Selenium Grid to run the exams across 500 computers.

Several other projects were completed. These projects included system, system integration testing and compatibility testing for cyber security, a customer facing website, an MDM application, and a telephony system. The responsibilities included:

• Test preparation (test script creation, requirements traceability matrix), test execution, defect management and test closure reporting
• The reporting included daily, weekly and completion, ensuring all stakeholders were well informed.
