I am a conscientious and hardworking individual. I feel I am a vital asset to any team. I work well with others however am not afraid to use my own initiative within permitted boundaries. I have a wide vocabulary, have extensive computer experience and am a confident, fluent communicator using any means.

My previous role as HCA within the trust requires a lot of people focused skills, all of which I believe I possess and portray to the best of my ability at all times. I am comfortable with people and feel I am able to adhere to instructions and guidelines given by my superiors and, given the nature of my role am fully conversant with current legislation regarding confidentiality and such like. Although my current role does not require a great deal autonomy however on occasions where this has been required, I have been able to make assertive decisions with the patient and their care in the forefront of my mind.

I pride myself on customer service and feel I am able to offer a genuine range of emotions. I have a passion for continuity of care and believe this is important. My current role requires a lot of communication with a whole range of multi discipline professionals.

I approach with this with courtesy and professionalism of all times and feel that as an employee of the trust my manner should be exemplary at all times. I currently have 3 children and work in a very demanding role full time. This requires good time management and, on many occasions, multi tasking.

In both my employed role and my role as a parent, I have often felt under pressure. I am able to deal with pressure and deadlines calmly and believe a logic problem solving approach should be implemented whilst remaining pleasant and courteous. My current role requires a good level of current health & safety legislation and I always act in accordance with this as I feel the safety of my colleagues and patients is paramount.

Equity and diversity and recognising the different needs of other is equally important to me. Whether the needs are cultural, physical or for any other reason. I feel it is important that when accessing any service within the trust the patient is treated with dignity and respect.
