I am a highly experienced Programme / Senior Project Manager, expert at delivering £multi-million business and IT transformation programmes to underpin business strategy and operational improvements. With over 20 years’ experience of shaping and driving transformational change for clients by exploiting the power of technology. I currently operate as an independent contractor having completed assignments for a number of clients including United Utilities, Computacenter, Co-Op Group, AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals and Infosys.
My strengths include my ability to confidently engage with stakeholders at all levels up to C-suite decision makers to understand business vision and create target operating models and delivery plans that optimise return on investment and total cost of ownership. My technical knowledge and business acumen allow me to bridge the gap between business and technical teams in order to dynamically translate strategic and commercial requirements into best-in-class technical solutions.
I apply my programme management skills to embed robust governance and fiscal oversight to ensure that projects and programmes are consistently delivered on time and to budget underpinned by superior leadership skills, leading cross-functional project and programme teams to deliver business transformation and migration of legacy infrastructure to new future-proof cloud-based solutions. I am also well versed in rescuing projects and programmes experiencing business-critical difficulties and delays by reassessing priorities and mitigating risks to deliver positive results for clients.
Examples of my successes include delivery of a new Digital Workplace / M365 platform, enabling the efficient transition from legacy hardware on Windows 8 to a modern Windows 10 operating system, including delivery of cost savings of ~£750k by rationalising over 1500 applications across the entire estate at United Utilities.
Manager at Computacenter I instilled a focus on governance significantly improving the in-house project team’s ability to meet contractual obligations, leading to a projected 80% reduction in overspend in 2022, recovering £300k in just 4 months through implementation of a new innovative commercial governance framework.
