Lucy Minikin

Enthusiastic Sport and Exercise students with a strong interest in developing a career in football coaching. I have previous coaching experience from a number of events in both high school and college helping to gain confidence, good communication, adaptability and planning skills. My sports BTEC which contained a coaching module, has helped me develop a strong understanding of sports performance and coaching.

I spent 1.5 years volunteering at a youth club helping to build rapports and communication with children while maintaining a safe and controlled environment.

Sports Coaching and Leadership Experience (2023 – 2026)

• Gained practical coaching experience through This Girl Can events, 2 School Games events, 2 Sutton Primary Multi-skills events and multiple Sports Leader events.
• Delivered sessions to children of different ages and abilities, providing clear instructions, support and adaption when necessary.
• Encouraged participation by listening to feedback and creating a supportive environment to help develop confidence.
• Worked within a team to plan and deliver sessions, requiring good teamwork, communication and organization.
