I'm a Software-based Technical Author using Microsoft Word, WordPress, Confluence & SharePoint.
Over 20 years' experience as a Technical Author covering a multitude of Windows-based and web-based systems. Creating, reviewing and updating everything from a full blown helptext system, to TWiki/SharePoint/Confluence pages and down to the smaller stuff such as error messages and tooltip text.
I've worked alongside developers, testers, project managers, finance/sales, helpdesks, HR, L & OD and much more besides.
Experience of working with Agile and non-Agile developments.
I can develop small solutions using VBA for Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). My main piece of VBA work is a Word add-in that I've designed for use by technical authors/writers and/or power Word users.
In May 2018, I created my company (Mee Docs Limited) as part of my move into contract technical authoring.
