I have 5 years of experience, working as a speech-language therapist in the clinical and educational field. Hence, I have been working with the peadiatric population and I'm keen on continuing to do the same.
Speech and Language Therapist (01/2023 to Present):
Provides specialized clinical services to children with developmental speech and language delays/disorders.
Works closely with parents, schools, and other professionals to help children develop their communication skills and access the curriculum.
Assesses, develops, and implements speech and language therapy treatments for children with various difficulties.
Ensures compliance with professional and legal responsibilities, including contributing to assessments of special educational needs and delivering therapy specified in EHCPs.
Provides line management, supervision, and support to colleagues and students.
Speech Language Therapist and Audiologist (03/2019 to 11/2022):
Assesses oromotor, speech, language, and functional communication skills of children with special needs.
Provides intensive speech intervention services to clients with autism spectrum disorder and other language delays.
Delivers therapy, consultations, and collaboration with teachers and parents, monitoring progress.
Implements individualized treatment plans, maintains records, and uses alternative communication systems for non-verbal and severely developmentally disabled children.
Conducts workshops and has knowledge in expressive movement and dance therapy.
Conducts hearing screenings and assessments using specialized equipment.
Speech Language Therapist (10/2017 to 02/2019):Provides intensive speech intervention services to clients with autism spectrum disorder and other language delays.
Maintains records and incorporates speech, physical, and occupational therapy into individualized goals.
Implements treatment plans, collects data, and communicates with parents.
Works at an Autism Learning Center.
Consultant Speech Language Pathologist (Part-time, 09/2015 to 06/2017):Worked as a consultant under the ENT department, conducting assessments and providing therapy for various speech and language disorders.
Research Assistant (Part-time, 06/2017 to 09/2017):Conducted projects related to voice and speech problems in head and neck cancer patients undergoing chemo radiation at Mangalore Institute of Oncology.
