Regan Evans

For work experience I worked at Leeming Associates, which is located in Freckleton, and does building surveying along with architecture and interior design. This job required many skills such as communication, writing descriptions of products for the customer and organising files. I also spent time creating vision boards for the interior of one of the newest projects and went to visit many customers during the week which helped me to experience the job of a building surveyor to its fullest.

One of my greatest achievements during my time at school is completing my bronze Duke of Edinburgh award, in order for me to complete this award I had to use many skills such as teamwork on the expedition, resilience when doing the physical activities and memory exercises when leaming new skills. At school I was a senior prefect and I was also in the student council, I took huge pride in this role as a student as I love helping make school a better place and really enjoy seeing ideas come to life. I think that this will help me hugely in the future as it has helped me learn skills like leadership, building teamwork and planning events.

Another role I took pride in doing at Hodgson is a Mental Health Ambassador. I loved this position as it allowed me to help others that are in need, and practice my skills of kindness and empathy. On weekends I spend my time working at a business called Ickle skills - as a football and athletics coach to children between the ages of 18 months and 7 years old.

I believe this job has taught me so many things, dealing with situations and working under pressure, meeting certain deadlines and communicating with those of a younger age than me, which can often be extremely challenging. Prior to this job, I worked for a Catering company and helped serve meals, pour drinks, wash up, clean, prepare the food, and many more. These were tasks that took a lot of hard work and dedication, however these are now skills I carry with me in any situation I am put into.

I worked at a building surveying company, a children’s coaching school and a catering company.
