As a motivated individual, I have always been open to gaining new skills and experiences. Working as a babysitter helped me develop my communication skills and ability to balance tasks whilst in a fast-paced environment. I learnt to recognize the importance of community and customer service whilst doing work experience in Iceland.
This role made me a self-aware and organized individual. The need for quick solutions and applying positive skills have also made me adept. Helping and guiding customers was one of my favorite parts of the role as I love to help people and contribute positively.
I am determined to both bring these skills to the workplace and continue to improve upon them.

My tasks under my unit MTU included being aware of my surroundings, being thorough with individuals and giving out correct information about the covid tests. Customer communication one of the main skills one needs to succeed at MTU making sure the individual is comfortable while maintaining a safe distance for safety reasons, also having thick skin and a strong mindset is incredibly important as by-passers might interfere with our work. The customers health and safety is initially our hands, so doing my job to the best of my ability is always a top priority, along with good work ethic I also flourish with a team environment.

I took care of and supervised multiple children, often at once. The role required a lot of attention, balance, and responsibility. This included the safe transportation of children, cleaning, feeding, teaching and generally caring for their wellbeing. My communication skills were vastly improved due to the nature of having to talk to children.
