Tom Clements

Recently completed my Postgraduate studies, completing the course in January 2024 in Management, Finance and Accounting. Outside of my education, I have developed an interest and understanding in financial markets through trading currencies, commodities and cryptocurrencies. I would consider myself to be an outgoing character, who thrives off socialising with my friends. I have found football to provide me with many opportunities to communicate with a wide variety of teams and players at different levels. Through my footballing career, I have found a passion for competition and leadership, both skills I mirror in my day to day life. Football has allowed me gain experience within renowned organisations, such as: Aston Villa, Coventry City, Northampton Town, Leicester City and Manchester United.

Employment History

Tesco Rugby Superstore (June 2019 – Present)

• Well-rounded by being willing to learn new skills in different departments such as dotcom, checkouts, produce and grocery. Meaning I can be relied upon when any of these departments are short staffed or in need of assistance.
• High-pressure environment as there are targets to be met and I aim to not only meet these targets but surpass whilst maintaining a high quality of work too.
• Been able to balance work whilst studying for both my bachelor’s and master’s degree whilst not letting standards slip in either.

Draycote Hotel – Catering and Bar Work (September 2017 – May 2018)

• During my time working as a part time waiter and a member of the bar staff, I gained vital experience in communicating appropriately with the public. I developed my ability to work effectively within a team alongside my colleagues and would consider my time at Draycote Hotel to be beneficial.

Currently studying MSc in Management, Finance and Accounting – holds CIMA exemption accreditation on 11 of their modules.
