Hobbies and interests:
As a lot of my relatives are engineers I have had a keen interest in engineering, how things work and electrical installation from being young. As technology is advancing I realise that electrical qualifications and experience will open up a lot of opportunities in the future and give me a platform for my future career choices which is why I’m keen to gain the relevant qualifications whilst working.
Lynton Refrigeration, Broadway Business Park, Chadderton: Trainee Refrigeration Installation Engineer: July 2023
I worked at Lynton Refrigeration for a short time, my main duties were the electrical installation of refrigeration equipment onto small vans all the way up to HGV’s. I spent the majority of my time installing the cabling for the units onto the vehicle following manufacturing diagrams, including condensers, evaporators, rear and front temperature controls, data recorders, cab controls, HGV EV charging boxes, earthing chassis, running wire / cable management, ignition controls and commando sockets, sometimes making adaptations to the body of the vehicles to ensure minimum waste and ease of access.
GXO Logistics, Greene King Contract, Trafford Park: Transport Compliance Administrator: July 2022 – present
I currently work part time as a Transport Compliance Administrator for GXO Logistics on the Greene King contract on Trafford Park around my college studies. My main duties include ensuring all vehicle checks for the fleet are completed correctly by the drivers, filed and easily accessible for audit purposes with any discrepancies raised to the Transport Compliance Manager for remedial action. I also ensure all defective vehicles are logged on the system and engineer reports for repairs.
My most relevant education would be a lvl 2 electrical installation course at Oldham college that I’ve recently passed and now I have enrolled into the level 3 course.
