About

Qualitative researcher with lived experience of ADHD, specialising in descriptive and interpretative phenomenological inquiry into the lived experiences of females with ADHD. My insider perspective enables attuned, sensitive engagement with participants and supports deep interpretative insight into how individuals navigate their inner and outer worlds. My doctoral work examines how females with ADHD make meaning of their internal and external experiences, tracing the dynamic interplay between embodied experience, environmental demands, and the ways these interactions shape social participation, identity, and selfhood.

It also considers how understanding one's neurobiology from a strengths-based perspective can support deeper self-knowledge, self-acceptance, and empowerment, enabling individuals to develop strategies that navigate challenges, lean into strengths, and live in greater alignment with their neurobiological profile. Central to this work is the importance of positive and validating diagnostic experiences in which females' lived experiences of ADHD are fully heard, seen, and recognised experiences that can profoundly support the development of a strong, strengths-based neurodiverse identity. I am committed to co-constructing knowledge with participants in ways that honour their lived expertise, respect the integrity of their experience, and contribute to more empowering understandings of neurodiversity.
