Kenneth Lim - a melting pot of traditional and modern marketing (data centric). He was trained in Computing and S/ W Engineering, began his career as an IT Specialist with PIL – a logistic company. He survived the dotcom era and went on to have his talent discovered at Microsoft. During his times at Microsoft, he was rotated to several roles to cover sales, business development and marketing.
In 2005, he joined salesforce.com and was the one of the 4 founding team members of salesforce.com in Asia Pacific based in Singapore. At salesforce he became the advocate for “no software” – a key value proposition, and rapidly built salesforce's brand leadership in "Software-as-a-Service" (SaaS) model, which later became to be known as CLOUD.
He took a break from Tech World and joined a creative agency in 2008 - FLY Entertainment whose Founder Irene Ang approached him to assist in forming a Strategic B2B marketing team, the strategic plan later gave birth to "Running into The Sun" – a large scale event and concert productions firm.
He returned to the Tech World in 2011 to join Trend Micro - a security software company receiving low visibilities then, and took up the challenge of putting the brand back at the top-of-mind of consumers and decision-makers.
On 18th Oct 2011, he launched CLOUDSEC in Singapore and coined the new term “CLOUD Security”. The thought-leadership platform drives security awareness through digital campaigns, digital content, social media and physical events to promote Enterprise CLOUD Security and Cyber Security, alongside Trend Micro’s innovations. CLOUDSEC travelled across APAC, EU, North America and the Middle East. Kenneth extended Trend Micro's brand visibilities through Alliance Partner Marketing.
He was CMO at Alpha7 which he drove the company’s brand strategy, through aggressive PR and content marketing strategy.
A recipient of "Excellence in Marketing and Brand Leadership" in 2015, and in 2016 named "Asia's 50 Best Marketer" by CMO Asia.
