Wrote & produced newscasts on various dayparts. Chose content for the rundown, wrote scripts for the assigned anchors, coordinated needs of-the-day with the photographers & reporters. Put the content into a rundown and executed it live in the control room ensuring a clean, visually appealing newscast while communicating with field crews in real time while on the air.

Managed Local 10 News morning newscast. That included assigning reporter stories, approving scripts, and working to be first to breaking news in a highly competitive breaking news market. Did scheduling for producers on the morning shift & developed some of the newest writers on the team to move on to producing or writing in other dayparts.

Produced WPEC Channel 12 news at 11 p.m. Assigned reporters each night & managed the assignment desk to make sure we got to breaking news or other events happening around the West Palm Beach and Treasure Coat area. Worked with anchors to make sure scripts were accurate and easy to understand.

News Producer at WNEM (2007-10 – 2010-02)

Produced WNEM TV5 News at 6 p.m. Worked with anchors and station management to produce a newscast with information viewers needed to know, on limited resources for a smaller market. This meant learning how to write in the rundown, write stories for reporters, and build graphic support. Put it all together for a 30 minute newscast on the most-watched day-part at the station.
