Aloha! My name is Anais ("uh-nye-iss") Bowermanโa first-generation female Engineering Science major at Trinity University.ย I grew up in Springdale & my family resides in Bella Vista, AR.
My career has been marked by creativity, resilience, & a steadfast dedication to positive change.๐ซก๐โโ๏ธ๐๐ฉ๐ผโ๐ฌ
My story begins, humbly, in Northwest Arkansas... where overcoming Lyme disease instilled in me determination & gratitude.๐๐๐ชSince surviving, I've immersed myself in diverse experiences that blend engineering w/ artistic innovationโDesigning solar ovens, magnet-powered electricity generators, & sustainable water filters @ AGS; whipping up community teaching kitchens @ the UofA Architecture Camp; & being a finalist for awesome awards like the DoD Scholarship.๐๐๐ I plan to continue this upward trajectory & make the biggest possible impact during my lifetime!
I'm FEMA & NCRC Platinum certified, & experienced when it comes to Autodesk Revit, CAD, & 3D modeling.๐๐จ๐ฉ๐ผโ๐ป My artistic backgroundโincluding 2x-displayed artworks in national museums & fundraising auctions for Ukraineโhave uniquely positioned me to merge aesthetics w/ functionality in engineering. ๐ผ๏ธ๐
At Trinity University, I actively contribute as a member of ASME, SWE, & TUFR. ๐๐๐ค These roles allow me to construct wheelchair ramps for community members w/ disabilities, advocate effectively for improved campus bike security (featured in the Trinitonian) ๐๐ฒ๐, & optimize racecar exteriors through collaborative teamwork.๐๐ ๐ค๐
Professionally, I quickly advanced to Assistant Manager @ Cutco Marketing during summer 2024, demonstrating strong leadership, communication skills, & adaptability while juggling a 2nd part-time job. ๐๐๐ Beyond academics & professional roles, I've engaged deeply in community serviceโfrom environmental activism & mountain biking (ranked 5th statewide!) to volunteering at food banks & caring for campus animals through the Cat Alliance. ๐ฑ๐พ๐
