Summer intern supporting educational activities and leadership at youth summer camp program

• Supported classroom instructors in leading educational activities for small groups of twenty or more of youth aged 5-12 to help them learn self-esteem and independent skills for a seven (7) week session
• Demonstrated strong leadership abilities by overseeing arts & crafts projects, board games, and outdoor sports, built creativity and physical development in children
• Collaborated with co-interns to maintain a safe and positive environment and performed basic first aid when needed
• Assisted with restroom supervision to ensure student safety and follow summer camp guidelines
• Show empathy and patience to campers and show the campers while they work through challenges
• Handled conflict resolution by listening and correcting behavior of the campers and informing the classroom instructors when necessary
