Chafin Payne

My name is Chafin Payne and I have recently graduated with my Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Indiana University. I have clinical experience in outpatient hand and upper extremity rehabilitation as well as pediatrics. I am most interested in pursuing my career in hand/upper extremity rehabilitation I am very excited to enter the robust field of occupational therapy!

I have clinical experience in hand/upper extremity rehabilitation as I completed my Level IIB Fieldwork placement at an outpatient hand therapy clinic, Desert Hand and Physical Therapy. Additionally, I was the lead rehabilitation aide for a year and a half at Athletico where I worked directly with the occupational therapist who specialized in hands and upper extremity rehab. I also have clinical experience in pediatrics as I completed my Level IIA Fieldwork at an ABA center, Hopebridge.

Additionally, I completed my doctoral capstone with a non-profit organization called Gye Di, where I provided intensive occupational therapy interventions and adaptive equipment training to children with developmental disabilities.

I graduated in May 2023 from Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) with my doctorate in occupational therapy.
