I have been a resident of Kalamazoo County since 1987 when I transferred here to attend Western Michigan University. There I received my Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Music Therapy and I have made this area my home since that time.
In my current position at the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra I oversee thriving education and community programs that provide musical experiences in schools, libraries, and community spaces in Kalamazoo and surrounding counties.
I have spent a lifetime developing my vocational and interpersonal skills and while I currently work within the K-12 school system or with families, I also have consistent experience with older adults, families and community partners.
In my work over the last 8 years I have developed an appreciation for making connections within a community. I have found that personal connection coupled with excellence in programming is a winning combination to create sustainable efforts with maximum impact for the people I am serving.
If you are looking for a lifelong learner who is not afraid to take on new challenges, forge new relationships, and enter new arenas for the betterment of her constituents, I just may be the person for your organization!
