By building partnerships with the medical staff office, medical director physicians, and collaboration with various service line managers, Health Information Management has reduced average delinquencies from $4M to $1M per week. Annual employee engagement scores increased from the 30th percentile to the 80th percentile, while achieving a 100% participation rate.
I earned a doctorate in organizational change and leadership from the University of Southern California in December of 2021. My dissertation entitled, “Avoidance of Inpatient Medical Necessity Denials for Short-Stay Admissions: An Evaluative Study,” was nominated for Distinguished Dissertation of the Year.
