About

I have been working in the offshore industry for nearly 28 years. I began my career as a Doodlebugger on seismic vessels in the Gulf of Mexico, catching helicopter rides out to the middle of nowhere and spending six weeks literally going in circles. After five years, I joined the exclusive Fugro survey team in Ventura, California.

I started as a surveyor, primarily positioning vessels and ROVs around the platforms, as well as supporting various coastal zone survey projects using side scan sonar, multibeam, magnetometer, and sub-bottom. A few years into my employment with Fugro, I moved into the office to focus on our deliverables, particularly report writing and ArcGIS mapping. Another few years later, I transitioned to Operations Manager which taught me project management, financial tracking, and personnel management.

Finally in 2020, I transitioned into my current role as Coastal Zone Survey Manager, where I oversee the business operations of the Ventura marine group.

I’ve truly enjoyed working in the coastal zone for the past 23 years—it’s a uniquely dynamic environment that’s constantly evolving and never dull. However, I’m now looking to broaden my impact by applying my experience to serve my local community. I’m eager to bring the skills I’ve developed in project management, operations, and leadership to a role where I can contribute meaningfully and make a lasting difference.
