This past year I have been employed at the YWCA SA. My job description has included providing training opportunities to those in underserved communities, assisting in promoting healthcare services, connected families with necessary social services, alleviating barriers to healthcare access and improving quality of life and built trust within diverse communities through cultural competency training, empathetic communication skills, and active listening techniques.
I have completed a 160 hours training program to obtain my CHW certification through Northwest Vista College. I'm now pursuing my education in Social Work through Palo Alto College.
