Experience

Vice President, Information Technology & Digital, Americas Division at ASSA ABLOY, Opening Solutions Americas (2020 – 2026)

  • Directed IT strategy and execution for a $4.3B acquisition, leading the technology carve-out and integration of 7,500 employees and exiting a two-year TSA on schedule with zero unplanned downtime while avoiding multi-million-dollar cost escalators.
  • Delivered the IT separation for an $800M divestiture across five US and Asia sites, carving the divested companies out of the division's environment, handing the buyer their data and select standalone systems, and supporting them through a one-year TSA that ended on time.
  • Led the modernization of the Oracle JD Edwards ERP ecosystem supporting $1B+ in business operations, migrating the platform and its boundary applications from on-premises to private cloud and upgrading to the current release with zero business disruption, while remediating legacy security vulnerabilities and creating a more stable, scalable foundation for growth and future acquisitions.
  • Established enterprise AI governance, roadmap, and operating model across 40+ decentralized business units, moving adoption beyond pilots to 10 production use cases, including predictive analytics for factory inventory planning, and built a UiPath intelligent automation shared service with 300+ automations in production.
  • Built a consolidated divisional data warehouse and standardized reporting on Power BI, giving the business a single source of truth for financial and sales performance and laying the data foundation for AI use cases.
  • Architected and led enterprise cybersecurity strategy across a $4.5B division through a direct-report CISO using the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, shifting to a risk-based vulnerability management model that reduced critical- and high-severity external attack surface by more than 80% across 64 locations.
  • Led the division's IT shared services across infrastructure and cloud, cybersecurity, data and analytics, and AI and automation, supported by US-based teams and a Center of Excellence in India; reduced service-delivery operating costs by 60% with a redesigned follow-the-sun onshore/offshore model.

IT Director, Access and Egress Hardware Group at ASSA ABLOY, Opening Solutions Americas (2019 – 2020)

  • Led IT for a $500M access and egress hardware subgroup across three manufacturing sites in Connecticut and Guadalajara, standardizing infrastructure and end-user support across all sites for the first time to reduce outages, speed issue resolution, lower support costs, and improve reliability for plant operations.
  • Led and developed a team of IT business analysts and an infrastructure engineer, introducing structured project plans and steering committee governance that improved project visibility, accountability, and delivery predictability.
  • Turned around a stalled supply chain technology transformation by defining clear business requirements, establishing internal business ownership, and realigning stakeholders and resources, then onboarded the subgroup's brands onto the new solution.

ERP Project Manager, Americas Division at ASSA ABLOY, Opening Solutions Americas (2019)

  • Led the on-time, on-budget reimplementation of Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne for a $300M business unit with 500 users, removing 25% of customizations to reduce complexity and enable scalability and standardization.
  • Retired legacy business processes carried over from the mainframe, moving the business unit's front-end and back-end manufacturing processes onto standard JD Edwards practices.

IT Director, Residential and Smart Residential Group at ASSA ABLOY, Opening Solutions Americas (2018 – 2019)

  • Directed all IT operations (infrastructure and applications) for a newly formed $250M residential and smart home group created through acquisition, leading its IT integration across Connecticut and California and establishing the IT strategy and roadmap for a high-growth segment.
  • Led IT due diligence and integration for a startup acquisition and a manufacturing footprint consolidation, standardizing systems and processes to deliver operational efficiencies and cost savings.

Director, IT Infrastructure, Americas Division at ASSA ABLOY, Opening Solutions Americas (2017 – 2018)

  • Stood up the Americas Division's IT infrastructure shared services organization, leading infrastructure and operations across 64 locations, including data center, network, voice, service desk, and security.
  • Architected the division's hosting strategy and migrated 1,500+ of 2,000+ servers from on-premises data centers to Microsoft Azure, avoiding hardware and software reinvestment and gaining scalability and recoverability that would have been costly to build on-premises.
  • Established a standardized vulnerability management program across 64 locations, introducing common tools and processes across end-user and data center environments that later became the foundation for the division's risk-based security model.
  • Stood up a centralized Level 1 Service Desk supporting 7,500 users, standardizing triage and remediation to deliver consistent support across all sites.
