David Lucas

I am currently a supervisor at Terumo Medical Corporation in Elkton, MD. I am looking to relocate to Brooklyn, NY. During my time at Terumo I have been promoted twice, and have been considered for other promotions in various departments.

I wish to use my experience to continue and advance my career in the industry. Additionally I want to use the leadership skills I have learned along that have helped me grow as a person and inspire others around me in a Supervisory role. I am passionate about inspiring others to be their best, as other supervisors have done for me throughout my career, professional and personally.

Professional Experience:

Terumo Medical Corporation

•  Manufacturing Supervisor II April 2019-Current
  • Responsible for following requirements of applicable national and international regulations. 
  • Continuously monitor machines and the product being produced for potential problems or defects ensuring product according to ISO and government standards. 
  • Supervising, directing, motivating,and providing training to production staff in order to meet company goals for safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Participates in project performance team meetings on behalf of the department in order to provide ideas, methods or processes for department/company performance improvement. 
  • Responsible for the daily operations of production areas which includes maintaining compliance with production schedules to ensure the product is produced accurately and on time for customers as ordered.
  • Oversees day to day operations of the Glidesheath department for second shift.
  • Continually improves product quality through analyzing, identifying, and eliminating root causes and implementing a corrective action.

• Level One Manufacturing Operator 2018-2019
  • Operated and maintained high speed and/or manual production equipment to efficiently produce a quality product

• Aided in the day-to- day tasks for teens with intellectual disabilities.
• Managed and secured a facility that includes 7 workers and 5 patients.
• Oversaw daily distribution of medication to all patients/residents.
• Transported patients to all required obligations. 

Kitchen Supervisor (April 2008- May 2010)

• Managed day to day operations.
• Oversaw ordering of supplies for the kitchen.
• Enforced and trained inmates in accordance with the work manual.
• Create and communicate schedules for employees/inmates to management and above.
