- Zip Code Wilmington (Zip Code) is a nonprofit software coding bootcamp.
- Zip Code has been in operation for 10 years! We have over 750 graduates who have entered the tech field as software developers and data engineers.
- Our mission is to support the economic development of the region by providing accessible and affordable software programming training to high-potential individuals who have the raw talent necessary to become entry-level software developers and data engineers.
- Zip Code students come from all walks of life and all backgrounds. The minimum requirement to attend Zip Code is to be 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED; however, the average age of our students is 35 years old and approximately half have a bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Zipcoders have lots of different backgrounds and professional experiences which they bring to their new career in tech including customer service reps, delivery drivers, teachers, marketing specialists, doctors, paralegals, garbage truck drivers, line cooks at restaurants, baristas at cafes, nurses, active duty military or reservists, national guard, security officers, and so much more.
