I am a passionate veteran educator with experience in a wide range of instructional environments including a bilingual alternative school in inner-city Chicago, traditional public schools in rural Indiana, a second-chance high school for adults in a small city, and even a Big Ten college. I am a nationally-recognized leader in education about East Asia, serving on the committee of a major pedagogical award and speaking at many conferences and seminars, with a focus on Korean poetry, music, and film.
