PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD)
Structural Engineering Intern – Air Vehicle Engineering
- Worked with (Finite Element Modeling & Analysis) FEM & FEA methodologies to understand how the lifetime of naval aircraft is extended.
- Utilized additive manufacturing processes to investigate CAD models and 3D-printed aircraft parts.
- Learned about composite aerospace structures used in naval aircraft and analyzed FEA outputs for parts tested under different material conditions.
Northrop Grumman Corporation
Systems Engineering Intern – Mission Systems
- Collaborated with engineers from different backgrounds to design an engineering model that will be used under Northrop Grumman’s Mission Systems sector.
- Worked with Agile framework, using JIRA and Confluence software as well as participating in daily scrums, sprint planning and review sessions, and sprint demos and retrospectives, for the development of engineering projects.
- Performed Trade Studies, Bill of Materials, and determined part numbers utilizing McMaster-Carr to help build a prototype using hand-powered tools and additive manufacturing process.
- Developed a Computer Aided Design (CAD) model by leveraging Siemens NX2260 design and Teamcenter product lifecycle management (PLM) software to collaborate with another mechanical engineer who worked on the project.
